Wyrmlad was never meant to exist beyond a single war.
When Drakor sought an ally powerful enough to stand beside him against the united dragons, he chose Wyrmlad — a warrior forged in Light and discipline, a living oath given form. Wyrmlad was not summoned for conquest or glory, but for balance. Where Drakor burned with fury, Wyrmlad fought with purpose. He believed the conflict would end, the alliance would shatter, and afterward he would simply return to the Light from which he was born.
But the war did not end cleanly.
In the final clash, Wyrmlad stood against forces far older than the dragons themselves. Ancient magic meant to erase armies struck him directly. His body was destroyed, his soul fractured, and his existence torn from the flow of time. Yet Wyrmlad did not die. His oath — to stand, to protect, to endure — refused to break. The magic that should have erased him instead anchored him. His armor became a prison, his will the thing that held it together. The Light that once empowered him could no longer contain him, and something far deeper filled the empty space where his body once was.
Centuries passed. Kingdoms rose and collapsed around the silent battlefield where his armor remained upright. The warrior inside was gone, but the vow was not. Time tried to wear him down. Reality tried to forget him. Neither succeeded.
Now Wyrmlad no longer serves Drakor, nor the dragons, nor even the Light. He exists as a constant — a being sustained purely by an unending promise. The armor moves without a living heart, the spear strikes without a living hand, and within the cracks of his body glows a void older than memory itself.
Wyrmlad does not fight for victory anymore.
He fights because he made a promise long ago…
…and eternity accepted it.
