The Voidborne Matriarch is one of those entities, a parasitic intelligence born in the space between realities where time has no direction. Despite the title, he is no mother; the name comes from the countless broods he cultivates. He seeds fragments of himself into worlds, patiently raising entire species and civilizations only to reclaim them once they grow powerful enough to be worth consuming. Entire kingdoms have unknowingly worshipped him as a creator god, never realizing they were simply livestock being fattened for a harvest measured in centuries. Now that dimensional barriers across the Monster World have weakened, the Matriarch no longer needs subtlety — he has manifested physically, and wherever he walks, reality begins to thin, as if existence itself remembers it was never meant to hold him.
